In Zirque

June 05, 2019

So... long time no hear

Against all the rumors - I was not on vacation :-) ... I was just freakin' busy and on top of that I caught an ugly post-winter-flu. But after a good cup of tea I am back here. What happended meanwhile? Well, I worked very intense on the two series The Color Codes and Space over Time (slit-scan photography). I'm gonna post new stuff from these two projects soon.

I also did some customer shoots, some of them not so interesting, some of them exciting, but one very lovely shoot with the artists of Circus Sonnenstich and IN.Zirque. Here a quote from their website:

Over two days we took photos for the IN.ZIRQUE projects, headed and supervised by Michael Pigl-Andrees. We worked hard but had also fun at the same measure. But ... why do I post this? Because two weeks after our shoot, Michael Pigl-Andrees received the Federal Cross of Merit (Bundesverdienstkreuz) on May 27, 2019 for his voluntary work in Circus Sonnenstich and the Center for Moving Arts e.V. He dedicated this award to the 50 artists of Circus Sonnenstich who live with trisomy 21 and other so-called disabilities (source: ZKB Berlin). My congratulations! Michael Pigl-Andrees, his team and all the artists deserve this very special honour.
